Jet announces the upcoming launch of Jet Budgets – a brand-new product developed for the small-to-medium sized businesses who use Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions, set to release on October 1st this year
In keeping pace with growing market demands, Jet Global developed a budgeting product that filled a large gap in the Microsoft SMB market space, largely identified with organizations using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV, GP, and 365 Business Central ERP solutions. As a company dedicated to helping people gain better visibility into their data, Jet has always focused on the reporting and analytics needs of their customers but hadn’t yet closed the loop with the budgeting piece. Jet determined that a streamlined, easy to use and integrated budgeting tool that controlled the planning process was something missing for a lot of the over 210,000 Dynamics customers who already use their reporting and analytics solutions.
“The SMB space has suffered a lack of effective budgeting solutions for a long time now;” says Brian Petersen, VP of Product at Jet Global “many of the solutions are designed to work with large enterprise level operations, which makes them too complex, costly and cumbersome for the SMBs. A lack of tools leads those companies to use a series of risky manual steps typically involving the sharing of large numbers of Excel files around the company to complete their budgeting process. Fiscal planning is extremely important to every business, and we saw an opportunity to reduce the time, friction and inaccuracies of budgets for our customers, and the customers of Microsoft Dynamics ERP products at large.”
With Microsoft’s ongoing development of their core Dynamics ERP suite, Jet considered the product roadmap and knew that budgeting was going to remain a fundamental challenge for their core Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV customers. The development of Dynamics 365 Business Central also presents some additional opportunity.
“For years, Jet has been focused developing products that work specifically for the Dynamics community, without distraction by other software publishers.” Says Joe Little, CEO of Jet Global. “When we looked toward the future, we knew that Dynamics was the way to go, but we also knew that customers needed more than just reporting and analytics from their data, they needed a way to control budgets and then see how they were performing to the plan. We talked to top Microsoft partners and long-time customers and listened to what they needed to make the budgeting process better. We want to enable our customers to get the most out of their Dynamics solution by empowering them to use their data to review the past, make current decisions and plan for the future. With the addition of our Budgets product, we’ve developed the ability to build and deliver a solid data foundation of reporting, analyzing, budgeting, controlling, and collaborating in one place.”
Often plagued by difficult budgeting processes that displace resources and waste valuable time, many small to medium-sized businesses, as well as those that are enterprise level, dread the entire process. With the launch of Jet Budgets, Jet hopes to change the way people feel about fiscal planning and bring their fast, accurate, anywhere promise to all aspects of a customer’s financial cycle.
Jet Global plans to make the product available to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, GP, and 365 Business Central customers on October 1st while launching at the largest Microsoft SMB reseller event in the US, Directions North America.
